I do not even know where to begin when sharing our amazing experience at the Amy and Jordan workshop. We took a business trip to Virginia and started with an awesome one night event called Coming Together with Amy and Jordan and Katelyn James. Coming Together was the perfect way to jump start our trip. We hadn’t even begun and we already had a list full of todos and awesome ways to grow our business and better serve our amazing couples!
Once it was time for the workshop we were so excited! It started with ice cream, well in this case, drumsticks at a beautiful little beach house. We were in a room full of excited photographers and best of all an awesome couple who has a story that is kind of crazy similar to ours. Unlike Amy and Jordan though our classrooms are not side by side. We had a blast getting pumped up for what was to come and creating relationships with everyone!
The next morning we got up bright and early to spend the day learning all about their special shooting secrets. (shooting is photographer talk for taking pictures. I sometimes forget this is not normal lingo for everyone. =) ) They walked us through their posing techniques, introduced us to the amazing Expo disk, which you will likely see us carrying around on your wedding day, and demonstrated their posing. Yes, demonstrated. We too enjoy the little perk that we can show our couples poses with each other. At the end of the day we got to put all of the knowledge to work and photograph this GORGEOUS couple and amazing styled shoot! The wealth of knowledge that we left with was overflowing and to be honest it would have been worth every penny if all we left with was the expo disk!
The next day we returned for a day full of business. But even more so a day full of how to better serve our incredible couples. Our hearts were set on fire to create an experience like no other. We were given a vision of how to love our incredible couples and how to reach out and care for surrounding vendors as well. In life, success is so much more than a bank account it is about the people who’s lives you have positively impacted and the number of smiles you have shared. In our business it is our goal to create relationships that are lasting and genuine. We want to not only capture your wedding day but be a positive light in your memories! When we left our hearts were so full and our todo list was LONG, really LONG. So long that I spent the rest of the summer implementing ideas and will be going back to this list this summer to put more ideas into place!
We can not thank Amy and Jordan enough for sharing their hearts and wealth of knowledge with us! We are so grateful for our experience and can’t wait to see them again in the future!
