Over a year ago we welcomed home our greatest gift yet! Our sweet Max, is now 13 months old and we are so excited to share his birthday celebration with you! I love planning, probably a bit too much and when everything in the Target dollar section goes so well with your theme it gets rough to walk out without at least 3 new decorations! Does anyone else have this problem? =) But, I must say, for the first time in my party/shower planning years I kept myself under control.. well kind of. When I got something, instead of saying “Oh this will be perfect for something!” I knew exactly where everything I got would go! This saved me tons of left over decor that was never used!

I think my personal favorite and new go to was the balloon arch that flowed down our staircase perfectly! It was so easy and budget friendly. Lots of blowing and tying of balloons but it was SO worth it! (Does anyone enjoy the tying part because it is rough on your hands!!!) If someone has a tying trick, I would love to hear it!

Robert’s mom made Max’s smash cake! It was a little teddy bear with a bow tie. Not only does Max LOVE anything that is stuffed and fuzzy but this bear resembled one that she made for Robert years ago so it was perfect for us! I thought it turned out adorable and I’m sure grandma added some extra love! It took Max a while to catch on but once he did that poor teddy was in pieces! Lots of cake for a little man!

We had a great time spending time with family and friends and Max loved his gifts! His favorite by far was the GIANT bear that his great grandma and great great grandma got for him! It is nearly as tall as I am and its foot is bigger than Max’s head. He often smothers it with kisses!

A huge thank you to two amazing Etsy shops for our invitations, crown, and adorable bow tie! If you are looking for a one year old crown or felt bow tie be sure to check Sprinkle Party Co out! She is so sweet and does wonderful work! We just loved the invites from Party Gloss! It was so simple and they delivered our product super fast!
