The Event with The Cannons

We’ve said it once and we will say it again, our hearts our full. We had an incredible time showering our past couples with love at our first annual “Marriage Celebration.” We invited our past couples to an event where they would get all dolled up and showered with sweet personalized gifts to celebrate their marriage.

The event was styled to reflect our brand and the fun kindhearted couples that we serve. From the moment you walked in you were greeted with a smiling face, a table full of sweet refreshments, and all sorts of gifts. We partnered with multiple other vendors who so graciously shared their gifts with our couples as well.

We saw tears run down faces as their husband whispered into their ear why he was thankful that she was his wife. Robert and I watched eyes light up as couples flipped through our sample albums of THEIR wedding day. They kissed and laughed and threw confetti in the air to celebrate. We photographed couples celebrating from 6 months all the way to nearly 5 years of marriage.

Our first couple of the day

For Kieran and Caleb to be our first couple of the day was rather fitting. Back before we even had professional gear we photographed their fresh relationship. They were just out of high school and not yet engaged but were so gracious to trust us and allowed us to capture their love. A few years later they got married and we have since captured their love at least 5 times throughout the years. It just so happened that they were our first couple to jump start the event.

Another small detail: Kieran actually “discovered” The Piggery. When she was visiting, she asked if they ever had weddings and the historical society was blown away. I’m so thankful she saw the spaces potential because it sure is beautiful!

Next Year’s Event

We are already thinking ahead to next year’s event and can’t wait to see what is to come. We have some fun ideas in mind and have already started planning year two. But first, I should probably finish cleaning out the garage! Do you have any ideas for us? Share in the comments!
