The day of coordinator can help give you the peace of mind that everything is taken care of. There are always little details on a wedding day that need to be taken care of. Without a coordinator people with come to the bride, mother of the bride, or maid of honor to ask what they should do about various situations. But, if you have hired a day of coordinator they can take care of these things and more! Since most coordinators have been to a few weddings in thier days they can anticipate what is coming next in order to make sure that everything is taken care of and in its place. This allows for you to spend more time with your family and friends so that you can truly take in all of the joy on your wedding day and know that your plans will all be in place!
One of our 2016 brides hired a day of coordinator who was one of our 2015 brides! How fun is that? We asked her a few questions regarding her experience with Olivia Rush as her wedding coordinator. Here is what she said!
Our day of coordinator and I spoke throughout the whole process while planning our wedding day. We initially met where we discussed many of the ideas I had for the wedding. I shared ideas with her of things I liked and she immediately understood my vision, even more than I could imagine myself. She periodically sent me ideas through Pinterest furthering her understanding of my ideal day leading up. We met again closer to the wedding where I shared our time line from The Cannons Photography. She further explained more in depth what would be taking place during each hour, including when the rest of our vendors would be arriving and making sure she knew what our bridal party and family would be doing, in order to ensure the day running smoothly. She knew exactly what needed to be done throughout the day to make everything perfect. She even provided us with tidbits on many items we had not thought of including assigning a groomsmen to bring bagels for breakfast. She really had our best interest in mind and was so helpful, I never imagined so many little things that go overlooked.
Our venue required a lot of DIY details and that is truly what I loved most about our venue. Even with a different venue that required less DIY details, I would still highly recommend having a day of coordinator. She really kept our day moving, it’s truly hard to put into words the major role she played. I have heard many times in different instances that vendors would come up to the bride or mother of the bride looking for direction, that was not the case for us since we had our day of coordinator. To this day I am unsure if there were any major hiccups throughout the day due to her ability to handle everything flawlessly. The day itself was more stressful than I could have even imagined so having our day of coordinator be there was a great investment!
