Some weddings just feel extra special before they even begin. Paige and Ricky’s wedding at the McKinney House was one of those. From the moment we arrived, Paige greeted us with pure joy, and her family couldn’t stop raving about their engagement session. We felt like we were stepping into a celebration with old friends instead of simply capturing the day.
One of the things that stood out most about Paige and Ricky’s day was how deeply loved they are. It wasn’t just the beaming smiles and tight hugs; it was in the way their families interacted, the toasts that brought everyone to tears, and the genuine happiness that radiated from everyone around them. Their wedding was more than a beautiful event — it was a celebration of a couple who clearly mean the world to everyone they know.
We were especially moved by how seamlessly their families came together. It was clear that not only their parents adored them, but their in-laws did too. Love and respect ran deep in both families, and the day was filled with warmth and connection that felt truly special.
Among all of the beautiful moments of the day, one that stood out was when the flower girl saw Paige for the first time. As Paige stepped through the French doors, the sweet flower girl stopped and stared in awe. Then she walked over to Paige, gave her a big hug, and twirled around in her own little white dress. It was pure magic and one of those moments we won’t soon forget.
After the ceremony and their portraits, Paige and Ricky spent the rest of their evening with their guests. The reception was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments and high-energy fun. We captured every little detail — from the beautiful floral arrangements to the personalzied touches that made the space feel so them.
As the music started, the energy shifted into full-on celebration. Paige and Ricky were on the dance floor from the first beat, and they didn’t leave until the night ended. Their friends and family followed suit, and the entire room was alive with laughter, joy, and non-stop dancing.
We love a good party, and this one was unforgettable. There’s something so rewarding about watching a couple fully immerse themselves in their day, surrounded by people who genuinely love and support them.
Paige and Ricky chose an incredible location for their special day in the McKinney House at the Cleveland Western Reserve Historical Society, which has quickly become one of our favorite portrait locations in Cleveland. With it’s timeless architecture, lush gardens, and romantic charm, it adds something truly unique to a wedding day.
However, if you’re dreaming of portraits at the McKinney House, plan ahead. It does require a reservation and a small usage fee, but trust us, it’s absolutely worth it. The atmosphere, the light, the history — every detail contributes to stunning photos you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
Paige and Ricky, we are forever grateful for your trust, your joy, and the opportunity to document your wedding day. Your love is something truly special, and it was an absolute honor to be part of your story.
