Our Journey to Get Here

I’m so excited to announce our huge news that after nine years of teaching I will be finishing off the year, and officially be a full-time wedding photographer. Shhhh, if you know one of my amazing students, please keep it on the down-low for now. I’m waiting until the end of the year to share it with them. I’m looking forward to the next 12 weeks with them.tt

 

In 2012 Robert and I started teaching and our business took off. We began shooting our very first weddings, on our own in 2013 and have continued to build our business throughout the years. We were happy and content doing both jobs and we honestly never thought that we would get to the point where I would no longer be a teacher. It’s such a huge part of who I am and who I’ve always been. 

 

I literally teach in the school where I went to elementary school and had my very first performance in fifth grade when I sang Tomorrow from Annie. To think that I will be saying goodbye to my many many students (about 600 per year) will be very bitter sweet but I am so excited to jump full force into being a wedding photographer. 

 

For many years it has felt like I’ve had two full-time jobs plus being a mom and a wife so my load is rather large. Developing specified systems and having assistance in place have made it so that we can continue to provide an incredible experience to all of our couples and clients. We are excited with this adventure to be able to take on more and continue to fine-tune the experience that we deliver to our couples.

 

You may soon see some office hours posted because I will be shifting to more of an 8 to 5 schedule for the business. In years past it has been work whenever I can possibly work of course that mostly meant from 6 AM until 750 when I left for work and then after school when the kids weren’t awake. As you can imagine, life has been a bit busy and I am so excited to be able to pour my heart into my passion of serving people. 

OUR MISSION

To serve people by capturing their story so that they can remember what a blessing every day is whether it be their wedding day or a new stage in their business we are here to showcase the joy that fills their heart. 

2021 and 2022 BOOKING UPDATE

Our 2021 is nearly booked and we are only able to take on a few more weddings.  2022 is almost 50% booked already too. We would absolutely love to serve you and have you be a part of the Cannon family.
