There are days when everything shines — when laughter bubbles up from every room, every detail feels intentional, and you can almost taste the joy. Katie and Max’s wedding at Sapphire Creek was one of those golden days. 

Sapphire Creek: A Romantic Estate and Timeless Style

From the moment we arrived, it was clear: this wedding was designed with heart. Katie and Max brought a vision that felt warm, refined, and completely them — rich fall tones, glowing natural light, and a touch of Ralph Lauren-esqe sophistication woven throughout. Lush florals in autumn hues spilled over tables, aisle markers, and installations, creating a dreamlike atmosphere in the Sapphire Creek gardens.

Their custom plaid detail backdrop echoed across their invitation envelope liners, aisle runner, and dance floor, tying every piece together into one stunning, seamless story.

Moments that Melted Us

One of our favorite parts of the day? Helping Katie and her dad recreate a photo from her childhood. Same pose. Same joy. New chapter.

And, of course, their sweet pup made a special appearance during the getting-ready period, lounging right in the middle of all the bridal fun. We firmly believe that every wedding should include your favorite four-legged family member.

Then came a surprise that had everyone laughing: as Katie and Max processed down the aisle, guests tossed pickleballs — yes, pickleballs! — a nod from Katie’s mom that made for the most joy-filled walk down the aisle we’ve ever seen. 

The Sapphire Creek Bourdon Tradition

Katie and Max leaned into the Sapphire Creek tradition of burying bourbon on-site to ward off rain — and it worked! Sunshine, perfect skies, and the prettiest golden light graced their day. That same bourbon made a return at their custom bourbon bar, styled with a rich plaid backdrop and fall accents. It quickly became a guest favorite, offering both warmth and a meaningful nod to their ceremony location.

Every part of the day reflected who Katie and Max are: thoughtful, fun, and full of style. 

• Hand-painted watercolor portraits as guest favors.
• Sugar flowers on the cake so realistic no one believed they were sugar.
• Late-night pizza to close out the night.
